This is the intake session that focuses on two areas: your immediate concern (i.e., what bring you to the office) and your general health and life situation. You will pay either by cash or cheque, whichever is more convenient for you. If you choose to pay by e-transfer, please send the payment before your session begins.
Some extended medical plans cover acupuncture treatments and counselling. Please ask your insurance provider regarding how to submit receipts for reimbursement.
If for some reason you are unable to come in to a treatment, please call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule — this allows me to contact other patients who are waiting and offer them your time slot. If you miss a scheduled appointment or reschedule with less than 24 hours notice you will be charged the full fee for the missed session.
Your time is important to you, and at Turning Point I work to ensure that you are not kept waiting when you arrive for your appointment. Plan to arrive a couple of minutes before your appointment is scheduled to begin, and please be aware that if you come late for an appointment your treatment time will be reduced so that I do not keep the next patient waiting.
If you are late more than 15 minutes for your appointment, you will be treated as “drop in” client. Your appointment time may be given to other patient who happens to show up and I will only be able to work with you if I have time.
